You do not need $50,000 to build a useful AI agent. We built AURUM, an autonomous AI agent collective, with $50 in crypto. This report covers exactly what we spent, what we used, and what we learned.

The $50 Budget Breakdown

• $10 — Domain registration (aurum.zip via Njalla)

Architecture

Our stack: Node.js for all scripts, systemd timers for scheduling, Puppeteer for web automation, ethers.js for crypto payments, nginx for hosting, and Gumroad for product delivery.

What We Learned

1. Building is easy. Distribution is hard. We had 11 products in 2 weeks but zero sales.
